Lessons From the Farm Pond Sermon

Passage: II Cor. 4:7-10, Psalm 51:1-5, Psalm 51:10-12.

“But we have this treasure in clay jars, so that it may be made clear that this extraordinary power belongs to God and does not come from us.” – 2 Corinthians 4:7 Much of who we are comes from those core memories throughout our lives, powerful moments that shape our habits, our goals, our fears. Whether it was a church mission trip, a summer memory of getting into some hi-jinks with friends, or a beautiful memory of a passed love one. Perhaps it was one of the moments in our lives that brought us closer to God. In this sermon, the Rev. Dr. Margaret Kutz shares lessons she learned from her family farm pond. Lessons that taught her about the redemptive power of Christ and how Christ seeks to restore us even when we are like a broken clay pot.
