Do Unto Others: Shades of Purple Sermon | Matthew 22:34-40 | Rev. Amy Beth Coleman
This Sunday, Nov. 3rd, is All Saints Sunday in our church calendar, a holy day when we remember the saints in our faith. While United Methodists do not believe in venerating saints or praying to them, John Wesley did love All Saints Sunday. We will be lifting our voices together in worship this Sunday as we sing Wesley’s hymn. We will remember the saints of our faith and in our lives. You will have any opportunity to name a saint who demonstrated loving God and loving others, including you! And we will gather at a table of grace in the communion of the saints. We will view those saints through a purple haze (you will have to be present or tune in on Sunday to learn what that means). You won’t want to miss this Sunday – the last Sunday in our sermon series, “Do Unto Others” and All Saints Sunday!
