Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." -Matthew 5:6-8. In this sermon, we continue to explore how God works blessings from circumstances that appear to be ashes in our lives. Throughout the biblical stories, there is a powerful connection between the concepts of mercy and justice. The connection between acting in mercy and seeking justice is one that Christ calls us to grow in our lives in order to truly work towards the kingdom of God.
